This is the fourth segment of a multi-segment 70-mile westbound ride of the entire length of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes from Mullan, Idaho to Plummer, Idaho.
This fourth segment of the ride is from Cataldo, Idaho leaving Idaho's mining region and entering Idaho's chain-of-lakes region. The segment ends at the Bull Run Lake trailhead.
The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes is one of the crown jewels of US Rail Trails and is on the Rail Trail Hall of Fame. The full trail covers 72 paved miles through scenic mountains and valleys in Idaho's Panhandle.
