Well, actually this is first upstream and then downstream, but the current is hardly noticeable at all. Start and finish at a nice little marine, with a great water access for paddlers. Soon after exiting the marine you will see and hear two juvenile swans, probably not able to fly yet, screaming in distress - probably scared by my presence.
Lake Ferlach (altitude: ~438m) (German: Ferlacher Stausee) is one of some ten hydro power reservoirs on the Austrian part of the river Drau/Drava. The Karawanks are also in sight, most of the time. Let's go! [Recorded on 2023-08-25]
