Isle of Harris full circle
This video takes you full circle around the Isle of Harris starting at the port of An T-Òb (Leverburgh) in the South on the Sound of Harris and taking you anti-clockwise up the hilly East coast and then down the picturesque West coast. If 49kms is too long you can split the ride in two by doing the East coast ride following this video and then this video covering the West coast roads.
The Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland is magical for cycling. There are really only two roads through the island and they could not be more different.
The East coast road is the quietest but the hilliest with a very rocky and barren landscape (and no beaches). It's probably my personal favourite road to cycle though.
The West coast road is the most popular (with tourists and cyclists alike) as it takes you past all the iconic beaches (Luskintyre, Seilebost, Horgabost, Scarista and Borve) with their golden sands and gorgeous blue-green waters.
