Cowie to Fallin, Central Scotland

Cowie to Fallin

I've done parts of this route before but I decided to film it again because a) there have been some new cycle paths built or are being built and b) because the weather was much better this time with it being a gorgeous sunny day.  I've also made two versions of this.  This is the shorter version which misses out the long fast straights between Fallin and Airth as I've had comments in the past that "these are boring".

The ride starts in the countryside just outside Cowie before passing through the small mining village itself. It then continues following National Cycle Route 76 through the farm tracks to the south and west of another old mining village - Fallin. Only farm vehicles and cycles are allowed on these roads so it's rare that I would ever meet anyone else. We then pass through Fallin using the cycle tracks around the nature reserve that has been built on the former pit workings. If you do want to continue through to Airth with a longer ride (19kms) then I'd suggest doing this ride instead.
