Piemonte Cuneo Entracque fantastic Uphill. Historical place. When you reach the last blue sector in front of you a fork between two mountains. It is Colle delle Finestre (Pass of the windows): where  there are some beautiful old military bunker of type 7000, and fants recovery house (for 50), close there is a place for emergency recovery , even if this recovery place was bigger it has fell down and only a part can be still safely used. The pass has a sad recent history, bcs it is has been used by people of ebraic religion to follow Italian troop retreating from France 🇫🇷 in 1943 bcs the Italian army never (before 1943) gave the Jews, living in Italian area controlled by it,  to be deported, and bcs they thought the Allies will occupy Italy first and the Alp be the front line. Their hopes were vain bcs the Nazi occupied Italy before the Allies did (they freed France first). They were 343, the largest part surrender itself to German Command (who -after they occupied occupation- promulgated a law (occupation laws) by which all the Jews have to report by itself to them immediately), they leave by train to concentration camp from Borgo San Dalmazzo train station, where there is a replica of the wagon used to transport them and a beautiful monument in their memory. Only 18 of 343 survived. These are facts, I do no do politic, but I hope  #NeverAgain. The pass before 1900, it has been used during XV XVI XVII XVII (maybe also before) for salt commerce, bcs it was quite easy to use but not too much so it has been used also to avoid tax check-points. Interesting the area history and the history of Saluzzo Duchy: a visit to Saluzzo is highly recommended, very beautiful. In the video in the first long red sectors on your right a lapid commemorating an man who love mountains and died close to there during an excursion (RIP), at km 5,3 before the 180" turn you can enjoy Stambecchi Family (mountain goats) who pass very close, the area was a famous hunting place for Italian kings: There are many legends and stories linked to this, like histories about king's lovers: like the one "la Bella Rosina".
