Ride to the top of Sweeney Ridge trail for beautiful views of both the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific ocean. The trail is closed at the Portola Gate, where I had to turn around. The Fifield Cahill Ridge trail on the other side of the gate can only be ridden by making a reservation for a guided ride.
Watch me get my heart rate up to 182 bpm, I rarely get it that high, while my breathing gets out of control for a few minutes... That section of the road was tough.
