Tak Ma Doon (South to North)

I feature this ride as part of a couple of my other videos but I have included this video separately as it exactly matches the official Strava segment for the Tak Ma Doon climb and descent at 6.94kms. The current KOM for this segment has stood at 14m 21s since June 2016 (QOM is 18m 32s).  My own personal best on this is 30m 10s. The telemetry is pretty accurate so you should get a realistic experience over both the initial climb to 316m and then the fast downhill to Carron Bridge.

If you are fit then maybe do this video in Challenge mode. If you want to discover how slow I still am on the hills then choose Discovery mode. 😀 From the top of the hill there are some fantastic views looking east along the River Forth almost to Edinburgh and if you turned around you can see all the way West to Glasgow and beyond - that's a 50-mile view!  But there's no stopping to admire the view on this ride as when you reach the top there is an exhilarating fast ride downhill to Carron Bridge.
