This is the last of four parts of the "Knight's Climb" ("Rittersteig" in German). Follow a gentle downhill path, from the forest, over the pastures with cows and goats, to a small picturesque village of Mautern.

A concealed forest path, high above the river valley, connects the two mountain castle ruins - "Burgruine Kammerstein" (12th century; altitude: ~995m) and "Burg Ehrenfels" (13th century; altitude: ~1150m).
