Rusalka (Mermaid) is a Bulgarian seaside holiday village located in the unique nature reserve "Bird's Bay". The resort is famous for the exotic beauty of its coastline. Extremely beautifully cut rocky shore, small sheltered sandy beaches, luxuriously furnished bungalows scattered in the woods.
I must admit - I have never visited Rusalka, although I live relatively close ... It was built in 1968 by the French "Club Mediterranean" - "all inclusive" and until 1990 was "French territory" closed to visitors. It is then owned by a fund sued by the state for corruption. Probably why this beautiful resort is so abandoned.
I will try to come again, in the summer, and if I can get in, I will hope to see a beautiful Rusalka.
