Dalbeattie to Gelston

Hot on the heels of my weeks holiday on the Isle of Harris I then took a week-long break based in the lovely rural town of Dalbeattie In Dumfriesshire.  Dalbeattie is well known for having some fantastic mountain bike trails - many accessible from the town itself - but I chose to take my road bike and had some fabulous rides in some gorgeous sunny weather. 

This ride starts in the town of Dalbeattie itself before heading West towards the Solway Coast, past the village of Palnackie before turning North towards Castle Douglas.  I'm still suffering from random freezes of my GoPro Hero 9 camera - going to invest in a new memory card soon - so the starts and finishes of rides are not always as I planned them!  So whilst this ride looks as though it stops in the middle of nowhere it does continue on in the next video.

This is part 3 of a circular Kirkcudbrightshire route from Dalbeattie. I'd love to say it was deliberately cut into three to suit Kinomap but a combination of traffic lights; GoPro malfunctions and me getting lost meant I had to split it up.
