This segment of the ride is along the Coeur d'Alene River through Idaho's chain-of-lakes region.
The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes is one of the crown jewels of US Rail Trails and is on the Rail Trail Hall of Fame. The full trail covers 73 paved miles through scenic mountains and valleys in Idaho's Panhandle.
