Linlithgow to Torphichen, Central Scotland

Not every video has to have gorgeous blue skies and sunshine to be a good workout! 😁

The weather forecast for this ride was good but unfortunately, it was wrong. 😡 The ride was filmed early morning and there should have been a lovely sunrise but instead, I only got glimpses of it through the clouds, and then very heavy rain.  I did try to keep the GoPro lens clear of rain droplets but there's only so many times you can wipe it! 😅

I decided to still publish this video as it covers some interesting short climbs (varying from 8% to 15%, that I haven't done before. The climbs start from Kingsgavil church just outside Linlithgow and continue up to up to Beecraigs Country Park.  None are particularly challenging but I was pretty miserable in the rain so you can suffer with me!  🤣

What goes up must come down though, so you have a short fast downhill section into the lovely conservation village of Torphicen to finish off this short 12km ride.

I will of course come back someday when the sun is shining and re-film this. I especially want to better my time on the KCHC segment - I think KoM is within my grasp!
