Klagenfurt, the capital of the Austrian southern state of Carinthia, is situated just east of a tourist magnet - the well known lake Wörthersee. Since 16th century the town center is connected with the lake via a 4 km long artificial channel - the Lendkanal (wiki in German). So, let us take a morning walk from the city to the lake...
