Starting from Mallnitz, we disembark the Tauern motorail train (Autoschleuse Böckstein - Mallnitz). It is then a huge road descent to Obervellach that will either have you flying or hogging the brakes, depending on your preference. You will enjoy some spectacular views on the way down. The Alpe-Adria trail then becomes a dedicated cycle path, sharing the route, once again, with the Eurovelo 7.
