Strada della Forra - the "James Bond Road"

This amazing road featured in the James Bond Film "Quantum of Solace", hence the nickname the "James Bond Road". 

Winston Churchill called it the eighth wonder of the world and many think that this road is the most scenic in the world. The “Strada della Forra” was built in 1913 to replace the only steep path linking the port to the highlands of Tremosine. The route starts just after exiting the tunnel from Campione del Garda.  We travel north, alongside Lake Garda, before embarking on the Strada della Forra towards the mountain village of Pieve.  We ascend constantly, through tunnels and gorges with picturesque views of Lake Garda below.  During the day, the road can only be travelled in a single direction, making it cycling heaven!
