The natural reserve area Janko's Ponds (Serbian: Jankove bare / Јанкове баре) is located amid the Kopaonik mountain range National park, at an altitude of ~1450m. Surrounded by a pine forest, it is a special hydrological area with an at least three meters thick underground peat layer, above which a specific biosphere has formed.
