Start high above the town's steelmaking factory and then pass by several raw material and industrial waste areas. The first half of the walk is rather easy. Then comes a steady uphill.
Leoben and its Montanuniversität have a long history of steelmaking. Like any technology, it also has dark sides, both in production (ore mines, energy, byproducts, air pollutants including CO2) and in usage (weaponry).
With any technology, the reality might be different than what lobbyists want us to believe. Question everything. Investigate. Learn. Discuss. Make your own conclusions. Act upon them.
