Pass Präbichl (altitude: ~1220m) is an important connection between two valleys in central Austria. It is also a starting point for hiking tours to mountains all around (about 2000m high).
This is an easy, but prolonged downhill hike. Start from a mountain hiking hut at 1582m. When at the pass level, visit the WWII massacre memorial (in German) - at that wonderful but tragic place about 250 Hungarian civilians were killed by the local Nazi militia just a few days before the end of the second world war... More or less keeping the same hight, continue towards the other valley and finish in the vicinity of the open-pit iron mining mountain Erzberg.
There are many walking, cycling and rowing videos from the area around - look at my playlist about the Leoben region (central Austria, EU).
