The Sormano wall, located in the so-called Larian triangle in the province of Como, has entered the legend of international cycling as one of the most challenging climbs of the past. Abandoned for years, it has been resurfaced. Closed to traffic, it can truly be defined as the hardest cycle path in the world: a relentless climb, "simply bestial" as defined by Ercole Baldini who in 1962 set the climbing record with 9 'and 40' '. Each meter of altitude is marked on the asphalt, each meter is a step that marks the time up to an altitude of 1107 m, that I can assure you never arrives, the only consolation is the climb is "only" 1.7 km long. The route ends at the Colma di Sormano and crosses the hill towards the Tivano plain.
