Col de Tartavello has its special place in my memories as my first ever experience with Corsican roads.
In 2013 I got fed up getting beaten by summer thunderstorms day after day while wandering in the mountains for weeks, so I descended from the main ridge to Chiusa and asked the gîte keeper to arrange me a ride to Ajaccio.
The ride in an old, rusty, squeaky Renault Twingo up and down Tartavello's pine forest on a twisty road that back then looked like it was carpet-bombed felt like a mule ride; all that made a deep and unique imprint in my heart.
Don't forget to enjoy the downhill as a reward after tackling this Category 2 climb!
🚨 Make sure to also check other rides on my Corsica in April playlist as well!

Have fun! 🤩
