Maribor 🚶 River Drava

Maribor (my mother's birthplace) is a second largest town in Slovenia, situated not far from the Austrian border, on the river Drava (here being but one of many hydroelectric reservoirs). Let us start along the river, listen to some Slovene music, glimpse at a new town part, inspect the once beautiful old river promenade (alas, currently being rebuilt), explore the old city center. Then cross Drava over the Maribor's Old Bridge, opened in August 1913 ("a horizontal Eiffel tower" 😀  - Have you already tried The Stairs Of The Effeil Tower 🇫🇷 🗼🚶 ?), The bridge was plagued with ethnic tensions and war times since it's planing phase.
