The Plug Streets, located in the Mesen-Ploegsteert-Nieuwkerke triangle, are a total of 5.7 kilometers long - good for about 4 kilometers of semi-paved roads - and consist of three parts: Hill 63, the Christmas Truce and The Catacombs. These 3 modest slopes were also of strategic importance at the end of WWI due to their location. Today there are a number of military cemeteries in the immediate vicinity. Since 2017, this stretch has been included in the cycling classic Ghent-Wevelgem.
