The 'Plugstreets' (so named by the soldiers after the village of Ploegsteert nearby), are winding, narrow gravel roads in the UCI World Tour race Gent-Wevelgem that cross the Flanders Fields. In this region, south of Ypres, hundreds of thousands of soldiers lost their lives during World War I. After the ride over these 3 Plugstreets we end up at the beginning of the Kemmelberg in the Heuvelland. Enjoy this varied ride.
