Drenthe countryside and forests during sunset: Assen to Emmen
We start out in the east of the provincial capital of Drenthe, Assen. We ride east over the countryside to Rolde, heading towards Gieten. Halfway towards Gieten we head to the south to the village of Gasselte. We will pass through fields and forests here. From Gasselte it is a short stretch towards Borger along fields. The last stretch goes mainly through forests. Passing through Exloo enter Emmen and head towards the railway station.
