A small section of the National Cycle Network Route 7. This section is all traffic free mainly on the Consett to Sunderland railway path. It is a well used path by locals and tourists, as well as horses dogs and metal cows(Beamish Cows). The path is 'littered' with industrial heritage art installations, with only the cows visible on this section. It is also part of a Coast-2-Coast(C2C) route between Sunderland(East coast) and Whitehaven(West Coast)
