The IJssel River is the northern most branch of the Rhine. Along it are many medieval trading cities which were members of the Hanseatic league. Kampen and Zwolle (which is technically not on the IJssel) were two of these cities. This rides starts in the North of Zwolle and heads south towards the IJssel. It crosses the river using the bridge and heads to the northwest towards Kampen, using both the river dike, but also in the polders near Zalk. The route goes on to Kampen, where it goes through the historical city. Thereafter it crosses the river again and heads back towards Zwolle. Filmed in early spring, nature is alive. Also nice views of the cities and villages along the road.
