This is my favorite kayak tour in 2022 around Håkanskär island at the norther tip of Stockholm archipelago. The calm seas, view of the open Baltic sea, the sound of birds, the smooth rock formation of the outer archipelago kayaking where no boat can reach that is bliss. The smooth rock comes from an earlier ice age when there was 1km of snow packed on top of the stones. When the glaciers moved it created the smoothness on the rock. The further out in the archipelago the less trees. Part of kayaking is also discovery, can I manage to get through a gap, is it too shallow and is there something around the corner.
