The southern ascent is the most popular route to the top of El Teide. With an average gradient of 5.5 %, this does not seem so difficult, but keep in mind that you have to climb 55 km. During this video we do the route between Granadilla and Villaflor. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not ideal, because there are also worse days in Tenerife.
