Malvaglia Valley

The Malvaglia Valley, which starts from the large municipality of the same name on the left bank of the Blenio Valley (at an altitude of 385 m) and which reaches 2'107 meters of Alpe di Quarnei at the foot of the Adula massif (3'402 m), is a real natural, landscape and architectural jewel.

Precisely to safeguard these peculiarities, the entire Valley is included in the "Inventory of landscapes and natural monuments of national importance".

This bike ride was done with an Haibike Sduro Trekking 4, an eBike weighing 27 kg and with a power of 250W. She was loaded with a weight of 3 kg of food, change of clothes, and so on. The total weight was therefore 30 kg. Of the four pedal assist levels, the second level has been inserted all the time. This force compensated the considerable weight to be moved. The pedaling force, from my point of view with this situation, corresponded to that with a racing bike weighing ten kilos.
